Complexity at micro and nanoscale. The comimg era in colloidal sciences

Complex systems are defined as those containing many interdependent constitutes which interact nonlinearly (1). Nanotechnology is an attractive scientific field in colloidal science that provides innovative formulation in food and food supplements.  More specifically, nanotechnology exhibits a tremendous potential for improving the bioavailability of food supplements, nanoscaled formulations are being prepared and they are used to protect the products from degradation. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with nanotechnology will facilitate and optimize the development of nanomaterials and nanostructures, affecting several scientific fields and leading to a broad range of applications. The beauty of complex micro and nanoparticles and their lyotropic properties (i.e., different organization of molecules in the bulk formulation) relate to their morphological characteristics and follow the order of the natural harmony.  Ref.  (1). ‘Non extensive entropy. Interdisciplinary applications’, Ed. M. Gell-Mann and C. Tsallis, Santa Fe Institute, Studies in the    Science of Complexity, Oxford University Press, 2004, p. 377.
