Thessaloniki Concert Hall

Thessaloniki Concert Hall (Building M2) is located along the coast of the city, close to the city center and the airport. Designed by the renowned architect Arata Isozaki, M2 building adorns the city with a unique construction that epitomizes the virtues of modern architecture. A public bus service is available 24 hours a day from the airport to the city center, bus number 78 or 78N. These bus services operate from the airport approximately every 30 minutes. Tickets cost €1.00 one-way.

The New Railway Station is the central passenger terminal of Thessaloniki, is located on Monastiriou street and it has seven docks. It is used by TRAINOSE as a starting point or a transfer point to other trains that cover the entire length of the rail network in Northern Greece.

TRAINOSE operates, in cooperation with the Railways Undertakings of neighboring countries, international train services between Thessaloniki – Sofia, Thessaloniki – Skopje – Beograd and Thessaloniki – Sofia – Bucharest.

Macedonia Intercity Coach Station “KTEL” constitutes a reference point for long-distance transports of Thessaloniki. Performs 800 daily routes, serving national and international routes and coastal lines. Macedonia Intercity Coach Station “KTEL” is located 5km west of Thessaloniki city center. It is easily accessible from the city center as well as from the new west hub of the city via which it is directly connected with Thessaloniki’s ring road.

Thessaloniki has a convenient bus system, connecting all areas to the city center, while plenty of taxis are available for those needing to get somewhere faster. Thessaloniki Bus Lines are operated by the Organisation of Urban Transportation of Thessaloniki – ‘OASTH’.

Standard adult tickets: 1,00€. Up to four-way tickets valid for up to (4) trips made within seventy (70) minutes from the time of issue. Travel cards of various durations are also available.

Taxi service in Thessaloniki is plentiful and economic. Taxi companies operate 24-hour call centers, ready to receive your order or make an advance booking for you. Most taxis currently use satellite navigator systems that facilitate a fast and easy transfer to any destination in the city. Luxury – VIP taxis are also available. As a rough guide a taxi within the city will cost approximately 5 Euros, a taxi to the airport will cost between 20 –30 Euros. A double fare is applicable between midnight and 05:00 am.
